Transition and Trust…BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

As I prepare to pour out my thoughts this beautiful Saturday morning, I am reminded that some of my audience may have noticed I am in a season of transition and be wondering why. I am more than happy to answer. 2013-2022 was spent specifically learning to become an artist and producing works that I am proud to be put my name at the lower right hand corner of. It has been the most precious season. It was like birthing children that I got to share with the world, and each one is so dear to me (even though I do have my favorites for the reasons).

Unfortunately towards the end of 2022, I have developed extremely limiting arthritis in my primary hand (evidence of hard work I guess), and so I find myself in a transitional season. Just like I will never not be a mother, I will never not be an artist. I adore creating and still have many projects in process that are surrounding me. Being an artist is absolutely my favorite identity characteristic because it is so so so closely linked to my values of creativity being at the center of who God is. I am going to be receiving treatment for my hand beginning this week I am excited to announce! That will be a journey that I have no doubt will be filled with ups and downs, but I am convinced more ups than downs!

Nonetheless, another business venture has opened up that is very much connected to the person I am as well! BIG ANNOUNCEMENT: I am becoming a certified health coach!

My primary career is and has always been in the medical field, and now I am watching as my two passions become blended. Art has been my means of therapy and mental health (in conjunction with other practices), but I believe whole heartedly that a fulfilled life is a balance of being healthy in all the ways: Mentally, Spiritually, Physically, and Emotionally (and Financially). Perhaps I have focused On my mental health and have times neglected the others, but 2023 is about Transitioning to more balance, and trusting that I will be led in doing so, AND that my needs will be met supernaturally. My prayer is that moment by moment I will be met with the light I need for the step just before me. And I am very excited because so far, so good!!

If you have further questions, please let me know below in the comments, but yes! I am still taking commissions (in limited supply), and yes! I would love to tell you more about the health coaching and that is coming soon.

Thank you for taking the time to know my journey, and if you are receiving this via email, I have not forgotten my promise of freebies. I am still waiting On the list to round out to that goal of #10 submissions.

Peace and blessings to you and Journey well!

XOXO, Brooklyn
