For This Moment I have Been Prepared.
For this moment I have been prepared. It’s amazing when sometimes you just feel like you are in a groove, especially when you walk through life with a higher power. God really is so funny and so much fun in those times. I enjoy people who are witty more than anything, but imagine hanging out with the creator of wit. Life becomes everything: laughter, love, kindness, stopping strangers in the middle of the street to talk, knowing you’re too much and not caring. I never knew fun until now.
This week I have seen signs everywhere: I got to take a walk and hold hands with my Daddy, the perfect song at the perfect time, the perfect weather at the perfect time., discovering huge acorns that look like fat little faces wearing hats, a bug lites in your field of view and distracts you, discovering why cliches exist and having the perfect one pop into your head at the exact moment you need it. People are gifts and curses, people never change and people can change, stereotypes that exist for a reason. It’s all hidden somewhere in your brain if you can relax and access it. You don’t know what you know until you need to know it, and so many of the things that I have been through, similar to Moses, were never about me. They all been things that God just wanted to use for me and maybe someone else. They didn’t happen to me, they happened for me. He is constantly building a city inside of us, and every structure has a purpose. We just don’t know it until it gets used. Go slow, Go hard. Work hard. Play hard. Do this, don’t do that, why, God, why? Research has shown that sometimes it do be like that. All the contradictions in the bible because it’s not a rule book, it’s a book of stories. All the lessons I have learned, they are still inside this amazing brain somewhere. It’s just a matter of relaxing, stepping back, looking up and allowing access as needed. Everything I need is somewhere inside my subconscience, which is the one word I could never spell in my 8th grade spelling class. And when it doesn’t come, phone a friend, allow them the gift of helping. You really are not alone. There are so many people on earth, we are like ants in a hill, and that’s why. Because if we can come together, we can make anything happen. Also, just asking the question may be the way you formulate the answer. And if you can’t, just wait, you are like a pie in the oven and you are not done cooking yet.
Wisdom is the result of time served, and pain is the strongest mentor. If you are like me, you have a wild streak inside of you or a spirit of rebellion. You believe rules are meant to be broken (not true, btw). All it really means is that to fully commit to something, you must understand why, and the more you have learned what not to do, the more you understand why you are supposed to do what you are supposed to do. And maybe those little signs aren’t meant to be distractions at all, but messages. Maybe you can find the positive in a negative situation. One day I will likely lose my hearing, but then, I will receive the amazing ability to focus on what’s in front of me. One day I will likely lose my vision, but then I will have the gift of using my favorite sense, touch. Maybe I might even regain my ability to smell again, which was severely damaged as a result of Covid. Regardless, I will be prepared for that moment! And I will get to see and experience the world in a brand new amazing way!
So, friend, look around you. You think this circumstance is against you? You are wrong. It is for you, my love. It is a gift for someone and maybe you too. You just don’t realize it yet, but wait and see. You will.
I love you whether you are new or old to me and I pray you journey well today!
XOXO, Brooklyn
